Our mission is to ensure that all Dalton High School graduates have acquired a mastery of academic skills, the ability to synthesize complex ideas, the creativity to approach problems in a unique and engaging fashion, and the integrity of character needed to become a contributing citizen of a global society
Dalton High School currently serves 2,093 full and part-time students. Students complete rigorous course requirements that meet or exceed state requirements for graduation. DHS has a full slate of challenging academic coursework including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate. All students are given the opportunity to succeed and the resources to meet all of their academic needs, including individual laptop computers. DHS also offers a variety of pathways in the areas of career and technical education, fine arts and world languages.
