Dalton High School freshman in advanced English class were lucky to hear expert Chaim Charyn speak in relation to their summer reading assignment of "The Book Thief."
Each year, Dalton High School successfully prepares students for their Advanced Placement exams. The school is now home to 67 AP Scholars for 2018, including one National AP Scholar.
Larry Tripp was named the overall state award winner and honored with a plaque and a check for $500.

Each year, all Dalton city, Whitfield County, and Murray County public, private and homeschooled students in grades pre-K to high school are invited to exhibit individual art for a special exposition at the Creative Arts Guild for their Student Arts Expo. School classrooms also submit collaborative work in the "Art Together" projects category. The galleries are open in March for the public to view.
