Dalton High School Recognizes Scholar Athletes in Virtual Awards Ceremony

Dalton High School recognized its scholar athletes at a virtual awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. In order to be recognized as a scholar athlete, students must participate in at least two Georgia High School Association (GHSA) sports and have a first-semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

This year, Dalton High School celebrated 82 scholar athletes. Eleven of those students were recognized as 4-Year Scholar Athletes. These students earned the Scholar Athlete Award all four years and earned a cord for graduation.

Dalton High's 2020 Scholar Athletes are:

Freshmen: Jay Anderson, Claire Archer, Luke Blanchard, Taylor Chesser, Emily Rose Davies, Caroline Fox, Ian Gowin, Anna Lee Grafe, Presley Hill, Tony Huynh, Anderson Jackson, Lele Lama, Alfonso Landaverde, Casey Mashburn, Kelly Mashburn, Parker McClurg, Maryn Payne and Warner Ross

Sophomores: Price Andersen, Martin Barsch, Kathryn Binford, Natalie Brewster, Katy Dilbeck, Parker Eicholtz, Macie Elrod, Emma Ferguson, Austin Fischer, Blake Hammontree, Yehia Hussein, Angie Laruy, Karen Lopez, Madison Moore, Triniti Mouzon, Charlie Patrick, Jasmine Perez, Reid Rehberg, Chloe Rockholt and Taylor Thompson
