Dalton Public Schools is excited to host a Summer Learning Kickoff event on Thursday, May 15 from 5:00ā6:00 PM at the Mack Gaston Community Center. This event is part of our DaltonReads! initiative, which is focused on promoting early literacy and helping families build a strong reading foundation at home.
The event is designed for families of rising kindergarten and first grade students, and will provide simple, practical ways to support learning over the summer. Families will receive our ABC Summer Calendar, watch demonstrations of literacy activities they can do at home, and enjoy free childcare during the session.

Este evento forma parte de nuestra iniciativa Ā”Dalton Lee!, la cual estĆ” enfocada en promover la alfabetizaciĆ³n temprana y ayudar a las familias a construir una base sĆ³lida de lectura en el hogar.
El evento estĆ” diseƱado para las familias de niƱos que ingresarĆ”n a kĆnder y primer grado, y ofrecerĆ” formas sencillas y prĆ”cticas de apoyar el aprendizaje durante el verano.
