Dalton, GA – Dalton Public Schools is excited to announce that detailed back-to-school information for the 2025-2026 academic year is now available on our website. As the district prepares to welcome students and families to another year of learning, we have created a dedicated Back-to-School Information webpage that consolidates key dates, schedules, and essential resources.
The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, August 6.
We are excited to see our students back in the classroom and look forward to a successful start to the school year. Families with questions are encouraged to reach out to their individual schools or contact the district office for assistance.
Daily School Schedule
The Back-to-School webpage includes information on daily schedules by school level. Get familiar with our start and end times by school level:
High Schools: 7:30 AM – 2:15 PM
Middle Schools: 8:05 AM – 3:00 PM
Elementary Schools: 8:30 AM – 3:25 PM
Elementary drop-off begins at 7:30 AM daily
School Supply Lists
Supply lists for each school are also available online. Students in eighth grade and above will receive their supply lists directly from their teachers on the first day of school.

To help families prepare for the new academic year, all Dalton Public Schools will host orientation and open house events on Tuesday, August 5.

Dalton High School: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Dalton Academy: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
2025-26 Academic Calendar
District calendars for the 2025-2026 school year are now available in both English and Spanish. These calendars include important dates such as the first and last days of school, holidays, and spring break. They can be accessed on our dedicated calendar page.
In addition, information on school nutrition services, including meal pricing and the Free and Reduced Lunch application process, is now available online. Families will find these details alongside other key resources on the Back-to-School page.
Throughout the month of July, the webpage will continue to be updated with new resources, including student handbooks, transportation information, and more. Families are encouraged to check back regularly to ensure they have the latest information before the school year begins.
