Dalton Public Schools is proud to celebrate Hannah Carter Crosa, Chorus and Piano Teacher at Dalton Junior High School and The Dalton Academy, for her role in the regionally recognized professional treble choir Lux.
The ensemble, founded by conductors Emily Allison and Dr. Ashley Conway, has been selected for two major honors this performance season.
In January, Lux will present at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Conference in Athens, Georgiaāone of the stateās most respected gatherings for music educators and performers.
Then in March, the choir will travel to Memphis, Tennessee, after being named one of only 13 choirs selected to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Southeastern Conference, a distinguished accomplishment within the choral arts community.
Mrs. Carter Crosa expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to perform with Lux, saying:
āIt is both an honor and a privilege to create music alongside this exceptionally talented group and our directors, whose leadership makes each gathering especially meaningful.ā
Spencer Gazaway, Principal of Dalton Junior High School, shared:
