The Board recognized Hannah Safley, Jack Redding, and Joanna Bethel for their outstanding performances in Winnie the Pooh at the Middle School One Act Competition during the Georgia Theatre Conference. Hannah was named Best Featured Performer, while Jack and Joanna were selected to the All-Star Cast.
The Board also recognized Kami Harrison for being featured in Georgia Public Broadcastingās Student Voices Collective.
In addition, the Board honored Geraldine (Gracie) Sprowl and Genesis Rodriguez for being named to the Region Competition All-Star Cast for The Dalton Academyās inaugural One Act Play performance, along with Valeria Torres, Kelly Molina-Gutierrez, Anarosa Hernandez, and Anahy Perez-Alonzo for their exceptional contributions as part of the cast and crew.
The Board congratulates all of these talented students for their creativity, dedication, and representation of excellence in Dalton Public Schools.

City Park School Counselor Emily Jones recently visited Mrs. Arthurās class for a classroom guidance lesson. Together, they read āThe Tease Monsterā ā a story that teaches the importance of understanding the difference between friendly teasing and hurtful teasing. The class discussed bullying, kindness, and how everyone has a voice they can use to stand up for themselves and others.
