Today, ten names were drawn from our Kindness bucket, and these students were given a token to use at our book vending machine.
We are so proud of these bucekt fillers!

On Friday, October 31, students will hit the CATwalk during Specials for our Fall Fashion Show! 🎉
Students are welcome to wear costumes, fun outfits, hats, or accessories as they strut across the stage for a round of APPAWSE. (Please remember: no weapons, no masks, no frightening/scary costumes, and face paint must allow students to be identifiable.)
We’ll also celebrate our October PAWSitive Panthers 🎖—parents of honorees will receive a special invitation!
Plus, don’t miss our PAWtumn Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser! 🎃
Book-character pumpkins decorated by 4th & 5th grade art classes will be on display. Students can “vote” for their favorite with coins or cash. The pumpkin with the most votes will be declared the winner, along with a special Principal’s Pick of the Patch!
It’s going to be a day full of fashion, fun, and PAWtumn spirit! 🐾✨

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and Kindness is our PAWSitive Panther Trait.
To support the awareness of both anti-bullying and kindness, on Wednesday, October 22 we will celebrate Unity Day for the sixth year! Students will have opportunities to share kindness through opportuniites provided by our school guidance counselors.
PAWS asks that everyone wear ORANGE on this day to show our unity.

We are so lucky to offer a Dance and Tumbling class for our students in grades K–5 — something you won’t find at any other elementary school in the district! This special class gives students an extra opportunity, in addition to PE, to move, stretch, and build confidence while having fun.
To help everyone participate safely, please make sure your child wears closed-toe shoes, ideally tennis shoes. Shoes with heels are not allowed, as they can damage our equipment. We also encourage athletic or comfortable play clothes—leggings, shorts, or t-shirts work great!
While no child will ever be left out because of their clothing, proper attire helps students move more freely and comfortably during class. Thank you for helping us keep this unique program safe and enjoyable for all!

🧡 Our student council representatives have been busy spreading kindness! They made handmade beaded bracelets to share in honor of Unity Day, reminding everyone that “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” 💛
Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate Unity Day by wearing orange to show that kindness, acceptance, and inclusion bring us together as one community. Let’s all stand united against bullying and for kindness! 🧡

The O.N. Jonas Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through educational and cultural experiences. Their mission is to provide opportunities that spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning outside the classroom.
We are grateful to the O.N. Jonas Foundation for bringing this exciting experience to our K-2 students! Grades 3-5 will enjoy a similar experience at a later date in the year!

*In order to participate students and staff must pay $1 for each day they decide to participate.

Kindergarten enjoyed a walking field trip today to the fire station. Mrs. Pichardo was pleasantly surprised to see a former CP Panther who now serves our community at the fire station! PAWS is proud to partner with our community heroes!! Check out our Facebook Album for more pictures!

The Dalton Dance Theater is hosting a day of performances for City Park students! On Friday, October 24, City Park students will enjoy a special live performance of Peter and the Wolf. PAWS is asking all City Park students in grades K-5 to come dressed in their theater best for this exciting theater experience right here on our campus!
